Area: Chile is 292.257 square miles.  It is 2,600 miles long and 90 miles wide

Climate: Part of Chile falls in the Tropics and part is the closest continental land on earth to Antarctica.  There are parts of Chile that are arid deserts, valley-oasis, tranquil green pastures, rain forests, mountain framed lakes, icy glaciers, and rocky mountains.

Landforms:  There are two mountain ranges in Chile.  One is Cordillera of the Andes.  This ranges highest peak in Aconcagua and reaches 23,000 feet.  The other range is Coastal Cordillera.  This range is typically lower than the Andes chain and some elevations reach more than 6,000 feet.
