16 puntos (1990)
In the context of a June 1990 Indigenous uprising, CONAIE presented sixteen demands to the Ecuadorian government that revolved broadly around cultural issues (such as support for traditional medicine and bilingual education programs), economic concerns (negotiating debts, access to credit, and budgeting for economic development programs in Indigenous communities), and political demands (ending political control over local communities and amending the first article of the constitution to declare Ecuador to be a multinational and pluricultural state). Different versions of these sixteen points exist (usually without indication as to the source), and here are several of them.
